Sample menu with a grapefruit diet:

First day

  • For breakfast, you can eat two pieces of bacon, two eggs, half a grapefruit or a glass of grapefruit juice.
  • For lunch: meat, salad, half a grapefruit, grapefruit juice.

Second day

The sixth and seventh day

How does the grapefruit diet work?

Grapefruit diet provides for the use of a moderate amount of protein and low carbohydrate content. A day should eat close to 900-1000 calories. Many people, observe this regime of the day, can lose weight and without the use of grapefruit because the level of calories drastically decreases. To date, there is no explanation as to how this mysterious, magical enzyme of grapefruit works and why it is not found in other citrus fruits.

There are no studies that would prove that grapefruit is capable of burning fat. Scientists have a suspicion that if you add grapefruit to healthy food, then the level of insulin decreases slightly and there is a slight weight loss.
